Diet Against Cholesterol

This diet against cholesterol is a diet based on food combination and food consumption to help control the triglycerides. A part from following the diet that we suggest, it is advisable to drink around two liters of water a day, to do aerobic exercise regularly, and to avoid eating certain food or products with high levels of fats such as sweeteners, sweets or alcohol, etc. as it could affect the diet and your body.

For breakfast and snacks Menu 1:

  • Coffee with milk without sugar.
  • Fruit

Menu 2

  • Coffee.
  • Brown bread with skimmed or semi-skimmed cheese.
  • A skimmed yogurt.

Menu 3:

  • A tomato stuffed with tuna.
  • Coffee.
  • A skimmed yogurt.

Menu 4:

  • Tomato juice.
  • Whole meal toast with cheese.
  • Coffee without milk or sugar.

For lunch Menu 1:

  • Brown rice with red pepper.
  • Grilled fish.
  • Fruit.

Menu 2:

  • Vegetable soup (of any kind).
  • Grilled meat (of any kind).
  • Vegetable salad.
  • A skimmed yogurt.

Menu 3:

  • Lentils stewed with peppers and garlic.
  • Fish with onion, preferably cooked in an oven or grilled.
  • Fruit (as wished).

Menu 4:

  • Wholemeal macaroni with sauce (as wished).
  • Seafood (as wished but not fried).
  • Tea.

Menu 5:

  • Cauliflower (as wished)
  • Grilled chicken with tomato.

Menu 6:

  • Broccoli served as wished, preferably boiled or steamed.
  • Meat (as wished)
  • Vegetable salad.
  • Light jelly.

Menu 7:

  • Asparagus served as wished.
  • Grilled chicken with onion and grated carrot.

Menu 8:

  • Vegetable soup (served as wished)
  • Fish fillet with garlic and parsley.

For dinner Menu 1:

  • Grilled artichokes with garlic and parsley.
  • Chicken with grated carrots.
  • Baked apple

Menu 2:

  • Gazpacho (cold soup).
  • Asparagus and egg white omelette.

Menu 3:

  • Grapefruit.
  • Breaded chicken cutlets, preferably cooked in the oven.
  • Vegetable salad.

Menu 4:

  • Vegetable salad with tuna.
  • Baked fish with peppers and onions.

Menu 5:

  • Vegetable soups (as wished).
  • Chicken with mashed potatoes.

Menu 6:

  • Gazpacho (cold soup) or tomato stuffed with tuna.
  • Meat (served as wished).
  • Salad (as wished).
  • Light jelly.

Menu 7:

  • Boiled spinach
  • Grilled chicken with grated carrot.

Menu 8:

  • Asparagus (as wished).
  • Grilled sole.
  • Baked apple

If this diet can not lower your cholesterol levels, it is advisable to visit a specialist for a more specific treatment.

Hi… Thank you so much for sharing this information. Cholesterol is indeed very harmful to heart. It is the cause of 90% artery blockages resulting into heart attacks. Hence one should always take cholesterol free foods to avoid heart diseases.
